Deceiving is a common
case in this country. In some aspects, people apply dishonesty to get more
profit or just to get more money. This is including economics, politics, and
even religion. We can easily find traders who deceive their customers, public
service staffs dishonest to the people, and leaders who deceive the societies
by ignoring their promises in the campaign. On the other hand, Religion’s roles
seems to be disregarded and left away.
Dishonesty
is one of the bigest deal faced by this country. To find an honest person is
like seeking a needle in a haystack. There are a lot of scolars and intelligent
people, but it is hard to find an honest one. We can take a look in wide range
of corruption cases happened all this time. Those who commited graft are
scholars who have high quality of intelligence. They are smart indeed, but
their smartness is not supported by honesty. They use their intellegence to
deceive others and take people’s money.
In
our daily life, deceiving practices are no longer taboo and even acceptable.
Traders, for example. They deceive their customers by telling wrong information
about what they sell. They apply fraudulent deal by reducing the weight from
what is supposed to be. If you buy 2 Kgs oranges for example, the exact weight
will be less than what you are expected. Unfortunately, It has been happened
for ages but it is hard to find anyone who really wanted to change this
situation.
What
is happening in this beloved country is likely to be the reflection of
understanding to the religion guidance. It is obviously true that Islam
population in Indonesia is the biggest in the world. However, the
implementation of Islamic rules are still on the surface. A great number of
corruptors, fraudulent traders, and public staffs are mostly Islam. But they do
not apply what have been commanded. They might know exactly that what they have
done is forbidden, however, money and high profit have made them blind.
It might be hard to find
a person who is able to change this situation because there are too many
deceivers in this country. To make change, we need powerful and honest leaders.
The leaders should be able to control their societies from up to bottom. In
addition, we ourselves should be able be honest person. Furthermore, the
implementation of Islamic rules are highly required in order to give us
guidance for better life.
To sum up. Deceiving
occurs due to the willing of people to get more profit. They disobey the roles
of the religion to justify their activities. Therefore, we should obey the
guidance from our religion and do not prioritize our activities only to get
much profit.
