Did
you ever see people sudddenly change their character rapidly? Is it because the
holy month? Or they got hidayah from allah? This question is just
an example of thousands others of the same tone
. The blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims flocked to seek
the pleasure of Allah. Not a few people that
they transformed themselves into
a more religious.
The writer try to dig in further information against being religius ahead of
ramadhan.
Ramadhan
fasting month has come and muslim people from various walks of life have begun
to welcome the holy month. Lifestyle changes is highlighted during ramadhan. Some
Indonesian singers have released religious albums. Many celebrities become
suddenly religious. at least, seen from wearing different cloth styles, such as
wearing jilbab or a headscarf. Furthermore, Tv stations compete to promote
their programs both breaking the fast and predawn meal ( sahur ). What
suprising thing is Mosques are full of people performing tarawih prayers.
Everything
changes during ramadhan. Thus, we don’t be suprised when ramadhan serves as a
momentum to make lifesyle changes. look at religious show and advertisement
suddenly appear different. A sight that rarely does we find outside of ramdhan
become popular. Even, Advertisemnts which have impressed “Glamor” were suddenly
turned into “Religious
minded”.
Ironically,
people tend to change their character and attitude during ramdhan. For example,
he used to be bandit, when ramdhan came up he becomes a good person. Another
example, she used to wear sexy clothes, and ahead of ramdhan she wears jilbab. Another
question raised at another time. Is there anything wrong with lifestyle changes that occur during Ramadan?
Is it good? Don't pull people down for suddenly acting religious during
Ramadan, we will never know it may change them. After all it is a holy month.
To
sump up, Ramadhan is necessary to serve as a
momentum for change. God also promised reward multiplied
to their ummah that
we do during this
holy month. Nonetheless, it would
be good if lifestyle changes
that could take
place consistently and istiqamah until the the
of Ramadan in order not to get
stuck in the "ritual" mere.
