Synthetic Rice (Muhlis)

What comes in your mind when you hear “Synthetic Rice” ? is it good for our health or does sytentic rice get better than the other rice? In fact, synthetic rice is made by mixing plastic materials or the rice was derived from potatoes, sweet potatoes, even synthetic resin. the recent case of rice made of plastic happened in Bekasi that was a crime in the food sector.

Furthermore, This is a new case, and there is no research to this case. So it is difficult to know its danger to human body but we can imagine what if we consume plastic, this is very dangerous for our health. These issues made people felt worries about the existence of synthetic rice.

On the other hand, most rice vendors are also worried about this issue because some of which are afraid of losing their consumer about the precence of harmful syntethic rice at rice shops. Both rice vendor and consumer also become uneasy to face this case. However, Public or society stay calm but remain cautious because so far the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) or the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) only found suspected synthetic rice in one place.

Therefore, goverment has to take immediately action to prevent the circlulation of fake rice or do investigate in traditional markets and shopping malls in the province for intance and withdraw the rice when it is found. Given the or considering Indonesia no longer importing rice anymore. The Goverment also always checks or continues to tighten and strengthen oversight of all goods that enter and spread in indonesia.

To sump up, we have to love our local rice product if the rice comes from farmers there will be no doubt about it. So love our own rice because selling local rice is the simplest step to avoid plastic rice. As we know syntechic rice derives from the neighboring countries or other countries because we import rice from the outside.
